How we compare
How OPER8 compares
Owners usually weigh us against an app their staff would run, an answering service, or a hire. Here's each one side by side, with prices from their own pages, checked Oct 30, 2026, and when each is the better pick.
- OPER8 vs PodiumPodium gives your team better tools. OPER8 does the work with you: a real person and AI agents run the front desk and marketing, and you approve the big stuff.Read the comparison
- OPER8 vs GoHighLevelGoHighLevel is a toolbox someone has to build and run: you, or an agency you hire. OPER8 is the finished job, run by a person with AI agents, for one monthly fee.Read the comparison
- OPER8 vs Smith.aiSmith.ai is great at one job: answering the phone. OPER8 runs the rest of the front desk and your marketing, and doesn't pick up live calls.Read the comparison
- OPER8 vs hiring a receptionistA great front desk person is worth a lot, and some businesses need one in the room. If what you need is the messages, bookings, reviews and marketing handled, OPER8 costs less and keeps going nights and weekends.Read the comparison
Apps give you agents to manage. We give you a person who runs them.
Agents are getting cheap. Someone still has to set them up, check them and answer for them. That's the job we take.

Where these prices come from
Prices checked Oct 2026: apps and AI agents from Wix, Meta, Yelp, Jobber, Lindy and GoHighLevel; answering services and assistants from Smith.ai (30 to 90 calls) and Wing. Front desk: BLS median pay for receptionists (May 2025), plus payroll taxes and benefits at BLS's June 2026 rate for office and administrative support jobs (wages are 68.7% of what an employer pays). The order, from you do the work to done for you, is our read of how much each one does for you.
